Magpye Chatter - rumors of a trip to China!

Welcome to Magpye Chatter: a space to post and discuss news and information about sustainable products, sustainable communities, and the ever-increasing number of folks creating workshops and studios and mad scientist laboratories in their basements and spare bedrooms! I live in a small town rife with artists, crafters, farmers, and assorted interesting folks who understandably care passionately about these topics, too.

I'd planned to begin posting about my own upcycled fashion business and other small businesses when my products"go live" in the Spring, but demand from friends and interested townsfolk has prompted me to begin with a totally unrelated topic - my adoption of baby Kai from China!

Well, not so unrelated, as it turns out. The prospect of becoming a mom for the first time has inspired so many new ideas for my business, as well as introduced me to tons of small businesses, artists, and crafters making crazy-cool products for kids and parents. I'll be showcasing some of these artists and business owners once we get back from China.

In the meantime, the Magpye Chatter will consist mostly of photos and blurbs on our adventures in China...and our adventures in fly-by-the-seat-of-the-pants parenting!
